  • The Challenge

Neurodiverse-friendly branding

The Untapped Group, together with AustCyber, was looking to launch an introductory cybersecurity course targeting young neurodiverse individuals in Australia. Untapped came to us with their concept which required its own form of branding that would appeal to their target market. Their need was brand development, a website skinned with the new branding, social media management to help build a community, social media advertising to build brand awareness and email marketing to communicate to interested and registered participants.

  • The Strategy

Cybersecurity Guardians

In order to make this cybersecurity course appealing to young neurodiverse individuals, we put our heads together to develop a concept that made this course look and feel like a video game; a fun logo, graphics, typography and language. Genius Armoury was born - cybersecurity guardians saving the world from security breaches online.

This new branding helped inform Genius Armoury’s website which directed users to a portal to complete the online course. This was then promoted across a number of channels including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and email marketing targeting not only neurodiverse individuals, but educational institutions, prospective employers and other program partners.

  • The Result

Winner: Player 1

Genius Armoury received an abundance of interest from neurodiverse individuals, and their parents. So much so, that the course was opened up to international markets including the United States.

Their website was able to attract and convert users to register and complete the course, supported by the social media channels building strong brand awareness. Email marketing helped to strengthen the relationship with participants who were eager to learn more.

The project has since expanded into other markets including High Schools, Veterans and Returning Workers.

Genius Armoury is helping organisations realise untapped talent.

Genius Armoury has helped grow the number of neurodiverse individuals exploring a new career path in cybersecurity and introduced them to opportunities for further studies and real-world experience with well-known companies.
